1961 Lincoln Continental

Lincoln started of the 60's with 3 models to choose from and by 1961 narrowed it down to just one, the Continental. A new styling change for the Continental included shaving 8 inches off the wheelbase and over 14 inches in length. The Industiral Design Institue awarded the designers of the 1961 Continental a bronze medal. Four headlights still adorned the front grill but now they were displayed side by side. Also new for 1961 was the infamous suicide doors that opened to the center. Standard features on the Continental included a 430 cid V8 engine, automatic transmission, power windows, power brakes, and power steering.
