The 1969 AMC Ambassador |
1969 AMC Ambassador
The AMC Ambassador evolved nicely from the late 50's on to the late 60's. For 1969, the restyled American Motors luxury car has a new 60 inch track, is longer, wider and rides on a new 122 inch wheelbase. Air conditioning came as a standard option in all AMC vehicles, a first among it's competitors. All were offered with the 232 cid six while the 290 V8 was standard in the SST model. An optional 290, 343 or 390 V8 was also available.
Total calendar year production for AMC was down a little from the previous year at 242,898 including some early production 1970 models.
