I grew up in the 50's. We used to build strip downs to use on the farm.. I could haul about 25 bales of hay on an old Dodge "truck". I broke a piston, so I took it out and ran it as a 5 cylinder. Had to coast it to start it though.

Back in my day this was called a "strip-down". That's the truth.

I would have to say that this is most definitely the remnants of a woody wagon since all the side panels are gone and that top header of the windshield mimics that of a woody wagon. Very rare!
I posted this pic, unfortunately this guy has about SIX of these just wasting away in his yard for as long as I can remember
