Chevrolet Corvair Station Wagon
Ernie Kovacs was killed in one of these.Complete with roof rack too.
My dad was a chevy mechanic in the 60's. He always called these "wind suckers". He loved them. I remember he had a couple of them when I was a kid.
my dad bought one of these in 1969 for 35 dollars, was later made into dog box, never did drive it, it was white too.... hmmmmm!
I can feel all the moisture in the air and hear the oxidation taking place just by looking at this picture.
wow....... I have never seen a wagon! thanks for the photo:)
And to think i used to have 2 of these babies....one i drove and the other for parts.
actually they were only called Lakewoods in '61. In '62 they were "Monza wagons". I hate to see sights like this. Corvairs are some of the coolest cars ever. I dive a slammed '63 Monza 900 Club Coupe almost every day!
It is a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Lakewood station wagon
Someone slammed the door so hard it knocked the other door off, broke the windows, and to make things worse it made the trunk door open.
