With the fiberglass body applied to the shortened chassis of Volkswagen Beetles, Meyers Manx are known for being the original fiberglass Dune Buggy.

The Meyers dune buggy line dominated dune racing in its time, breaking records immediately. The \"Manx\" name for the shortened, taller-wheeled, more maneuverable VW Beetle mods refers to and derives from the comparably stubby Manx cat.

The original B.F. Meyers & Company tag is proudly represented in between the driver and passenger seat and shown in our photos.

The fiberglass body is painted in a stunning Burgundy Metallic which really does not do justice through pictures. Get this baby in some sunlight and you really see the metallic come to life. In the shade it\'s one of those colors that changes based on angle. BF Goodrich Radials wrap around steels with chrome center caps. A Corvette gas tank cap has been fitted as the seller\'s touch.

Equipped with a 1776 CC Volkswagen engine paired to a 4 speed manual with overdrive, this Manx is ready to cruise the streets. A mild cam helps give the engine a rumble that makes you grin ear-to-ear as you rev it up. The EMPI Carburetor pulls in air and gas to feed the engine. Rear driveshafts ensure the estimated 145-150hp engines puts the power down promptly.

The interior is very nicely finished with two-tone beige and burgundy seats. White-faced Dolphin gauges rest behind Gold bezels and give a nice touch to the interior. Four speakers and a AM/FM radio keep your ears stimulated when the 1776cc engine and wind aren\'t. An amplifier for the radio and the battery rest underneath the rear seat. A bimini top comes along.

Titled as a 1973 Volkswagen, we don\'t see real Meyers Manx often and we don\'t expect this one to last long!
