DESCRIPTION

Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com for additional photos, information, and a video. This vehicle is available for viewing by appointment only. Please call us to schedule an appointment. It\'s not too often we see something as special as this 1940 Willys All Steel Gasser once raced by Jim Wilkins!

That\'s right, this Willys is 100% REAL STEEL and will steal the show wherever it goes! Known as \"The Handshaker\" throughout its racing history, original photos of the build process and times at the strip will live on to the next owner.

Dual Holley carburetors rest on top of the massive 6-71 Weiand supercharger that is not for the meek. Designed to generate 50%+ more horsepower and torque across the rpm range! Weiand\'s 6-71 blower kits are equipped with exclusive two lobe rotors for maximum boost at lower RPMs. A Weiand intake manifold evenly distributes the air while MSD coil, distributor, and 8.5mm Super Conductor plug wires get the internal party firing! A 6 core cross flow radiator keeps things cool. Transferring that power to the rear is a heavy duty drive shaft that connects to a Ford 9in rear end where 31 spline axles and 5.13 gears rotate the massive meats. A Jerico 5 speed transmission with 7,000RPM shift points and McLeod clutch help to transfer the power. Royal Purple #21 motor oil has been the blood pumping through this beast. A Willys straight axle is upfront while disc brakes help come to a rest when need-be. The front suspension has been tied with cables to keep the wheels straight when that happy foot wants to party. Only ever fed 112-116 octane race gas, this Willys gets down! Autographs in the engine bay from previous racers, including Big Daddy Don Garlits add the final touch.

Black bucket seats rest in front of the roll cage as the most notable interior feature is the incredible \"1st gear. Fan on. Kick ass!\" script lets you know you\'re about to shake! A boost gauge rests on the column while auxiliary gauges watch the vitals. Prior time slips sit on the driver side visor.

A battery cut off has been placed on the rear of the passenger side as well as the battery in the trunk space. A 67/68 Camaro gas tank feeds \"The Handshaker.\"

Simply put, this Real Steel Willys grips and f*$&ing rips!!
