Few cars ever made can elicit such an immediate reaction as this 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This fully repainted Yellow Bug has newer front inner fenders and complementing wheels and bumpers, which have been color-matched to the classic sunflower power hue. Inside, we find a fully replaced beige and tan interior with comfy bucket seats and matching door panels.
Prop up the rear engine cover, and we find a date-correct 1600cc dual port horizontally-opposed air-cooled four-cylinder engine which made a pre-emissions SAE-gross 60 hp at 4400 rpm and 82 lb-ft of torque at 3000 rpm. That power was then channeled through a traditional four-speed manual transmission before it worked its way through the VW transaxle and onto the rear wheels.
