DESCRIPTION
This shortbed deluxe is loaded with appeal and features! Several factory options and several upgrades. The LS2 with a manual 6-speed is what really sets it apart though. I bought it from a local collector that has owned it over 20 years, he enjoyed driving it and it is turnkey ready for you to enjoy!
EXTERIOR: This truck certainly has a look that makes it stand out. Desirable shortbed deluxe with all the extra trim. The body is in excellent shape, no rust or damage. It is straight and fits right and a metal cowl hood was added. The two tone paint is polished smooth and glossy. The moldings down the sides, the stainless steel mirrors, door handles, rain gutter trim, grill, windshield moldings were replaced. Custom front bumper with fog lights built into it and a custom rear bumper is notched for the exhaust tips. Upgraded billet marker light bezels too. LED running and taillights. New smoked glass, optional sliding back window. Dramatically staggered size polished Torque Thrust wheels gives the truck a nice stance with 20x10s in back and 17x8s in front.
INTERIOR: Inside is also a knockout, filled with desirable features. It is a deluxe interior which includes upgraded door panels, a headliner and visors. Rare factory bucket seats and center console. The seats are wearing sharp looking houndstooth upholstery too. Behind the seats was custom upholstered also using houndstooth. Under the carpet and in back has Dynamat sound deadener. In front of you isa rosewood deluxe wheel on a tilt column. The billet dash bezel has a matching set of Sport Comp gauges including a tachometer which you can watch as you\'re shifting that 6-speed! There is also a modern stereo with molded kick panel speakers. It even has power windows added, is this a Cadillac or a 1970 truck!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Let\'s start with the LS2 all aluminum engine. It was Dyno tested at 460 hp at the rear wheels, upgraded with a hotter cam, chromoly pushrods, Hugger headers and a polished intake tube. It has air conditioning, power steering and brakes to make driving it easy and comfortable. A Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fan keeps it running cool. All the components are functional and proper. It has horns, windshield washers, battery is secured etc. A couple unique features are the chrome inner fenders, under hood insert and billet hinges.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is rock solid in the bed. It\'s also very useable with a tonneau cover on top and a thick rubber mat on the bottom.
UNDERSIDE: The floors and frame rails are all rock solid metal prepped and painted black. It has a custom all stainless steel exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers going out through the back bumper. It also has a custom 19 gallon aluminum fuel tank with electric fuel pump compatible with the fuel injection system. The steering and suspension have been rebuilt as needed and was recently inspected. It is upgraded with drilled and slotted disc brakes at all four wheels. Looking up at the motor it\'s all aluminum. A performance built Tremec 6-speed manual trans from Speed Inc was installed. It uses a McLeod hydraulic clutch. A custom made H.D. steel drive shaft leads back to the 12 bolt rear end which has 4.10 posi gears and a chrome cover.
SERVICE: We inspected the truck and only had to fix the reverse lights! It\'s from an owner that drove it and kept it very well maintained.
This truck has luxury and performance! That LS2 with a 4.11 posi will launch this truck like a slingshot. If you feel like cruising put it in 6th gear and relax with the a/c on and stereo playing your favorite tunes!
