This spectacular 1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible Tribute has received a comprehensive, high-quality, frame-off restoration. All the GTO exclusive details were added during the restoration, including the famous GTO hood, grills, turn signals, badging and unique GTO tail-panel and taillights. Finished brilliantly in Custom House of Kolor \"Blurple\" with four coats of clear, the deep gloss of this paint is amazing to see. Lowering the power-activated black convertible top reveals a restored black GTO interior that features bucket seats, console, floor shifter, tilt steering column, 3-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD player with remote and two extra speakers in the back seat.
Power and performance are provided by potent 6.2-litre LS2 V8 engine paired to a 4-speed 4L60E automatic transmission that delivers back to a rebuilt Chevrolet 10-bolt rear end. The engine bay is detailed with GTO logo body-colored ignition covers and a 3-row aluminum radiator, as well as a Painless wiring harness. Headers rumble back through dual exhaust with Pypes M-80 Race Pro mufflers that produce a deep throaty sound.
The suspension system has been significantly upgraded to handle this Pontiac\'s power, with a CCP power steering box, CCP Tubular A-arms, adjustable QA1 coil-overs and sway bar up front. In the rear are CCP control arms and a sway bar, plus lowered QA1 springs and shocks. Tubular frame bracing has been added as well for strength and stability. Stopping power is aided by power assisted 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Build photos, as well as PHS documents come with the car.
