DESCRIPTION
This hot-looking Chevelle SS is finished in a mirror gloss red over a straight original body. The one-year-only SS hood is in place, as are the SS badging and 396 Turbo-Jet cross flags fender emblems. The stock original look is accented by a set of polished 18-inch Rev wheels wrapped with Arroyo performance tires staggered 235/50R18 front and 245/55R18 rear for just the right stance.
The black interior is in great condition and stock in appearance, featuring its original steering wheel with SS center cap. Factory optional equipment on this Chevelle SS includes the gauge package located inside the speedometer housing, bucket seats, console with clock and the highly desirable \"Knee-Knocker\" tachometer. Additionally, a set of SunPro gauges mounted under the dash accurately monitor engine, oil pressure, temperature and volts. A Lanzar AM/FM stereo CD player provides tunes for cruising.
Under the SS hood is a healthy 427 Big Block engine paired with a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission shifted with a Hurst shifter. The engine features a polished intake manifold, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, polished valve covers, chrome alternator and bracket, power steering and a chrome open-element air cleaner. A set of long tube headers flow back to rumbling dual Flowmaster mufflers that sound like a muscle car should. The suspension and brakes have been upgraded as well. Stopping power is provided by a power assisted, dual reservoir master cylinder linked to front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Handling is improved with tubular front upper and lower control arms up front and tubular trailing arms in the rear.
