DESCRIPTION

1999 Chevrolet Tahoe 4 Door 4x2

For consignment, a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe 4 door 4x2 with custom paint and a modified stance that creates instant presence. Normally set high for ground clearance and foul weather driving, our Tahoe sits low, more like a sports car, and wears a set of impressive wheels that put an exclamation point on the truck.

Exterior
Pewter Metallic covers the top of the truck down to the shoulder line where Orange Metallic takes over, picked up on the hood with a wide orange band lined with a red pinstripe. This pinstripe also runs in tandem with an orange line the length of the truck on the line between the pewter and orange. Orange covers the grille and door handles while the tail lights are smoked, which blends well with the tinted windows. A shaved rear bumper rides flush with the body lines and color matched rain guards on the window are a nice touch and on the roof is a large panoramic canvas sunroof from Legacy and is a sliding ragtop. 20-inch Ridler 5 spoke wheels, close in color to the pewter, look fantastic on the truck and wear 255/45ZR20 tires with a late 2021 date code. It\'s obvious great care was taken to not only apply the paint but to maintain it and the only imperfection we find is a touch up scuff on an orange corner.

Interior
Standard Tahoe door panels in molded plastic with cloth inserts look great, fully intact and clean. The seats appear to be original but have a custom pattern on the leather upholstery and the front buckets as well as the rear split bench are low backed and lack headrests. Orange carpet catches your eye and blends well with the exterior while the cargo area, accessed via barn doors, has wood grain planks for a clean, custom look. From the steering wheel forward, it\'s factory GM with a 4 spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, column shifter, and basic gauge cluster. While a Sony AM/FM/CD player of newer vintage is in the center of the dash over the straightforward climate controls. The headliner that surrounds the large sunroof is in good condition.

Drivetrain
Looking clean under the hood, the 5.7 liter V8 has and K&N cold air intake, it is fuel injected, and is set into motion via GM\'s 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission sending power back to a 10 bolt rear with 3.73 gears and Positraction. Slotted rotors sit on the front and in the rear that were converted to disc with a Little Larry\'s conversion kit.

Undercarriage
Generally clean driver quality underneath with some typical surface rust, no oil, and braided brake lines confirmed as noted by the consignor. The exhaust comes from the engine to meet two catalytic converters then joins as a single pipe to enter a Flowmaster muffler then exiting via a chrome tailpipe. Front suspension consists of Little Larry\'s 3\" drop spindles, shocks, and springs and the back setup includes lowering shackles, shocks, and leaf springs. A bright red differential cover caps things off and is unobscured by a spare tire as it is not present.

Drive-Ability
We like cars that have been lifted, (think, Baja Porsche), and trucks that have been lowered and this truck checks all the boxes, and its interior is a comfortable place to be. The truck provides a smooth ride with good handling and spot on braking. All the bells and whistles operate with the exception of the reverse lights not illuminating and a passenger side mirror that lacks left and right movement.

Talk about a custom grocery getter! This is a striking paint scheme with a clean interior and room for the entire family. But of course, it\'s also a show truck and would be right at home amongst classic cars. There\'s no indication this truck was used for show, but it\'s certainly worthy.
