DESCRIPTION

2007 BMW Alpina B7 4 Door Sedan

For consignment, a 103,927 title verified actual mile high performance luxury sedan from across the Atlantic and now gracing our Hallowed Halls. This 2007 BMW Alpina B7, with its utterly distinctive, aloof, and elitist look, all you can think of is pure automotive beauty when gazing upon this luxury sport sedan. Menacing Jet Black bathes the exterior which sports a sunroof, and on the inside is a charcoal black leather interior. Couple the stunningly good looks with the amazingly powerful 500hp supercharged V8 and we have a stealthy sleeper in our midst with room for the whole family.

Exterior
The first thing one of these connoisseurs might notice on the Alpina B7, it amounts to a hot rodded 7 series, are the mammoth, concept car worthy 21-inch, 20 spoke BBS wheels. That\'s because they are simply spectacular to behold. And that\'s before they start moving; then the spokes blend together in an envy-inducing blur. Splendid. Think the aggressive bodywork, extended front and rear fascias and a rear spoiler that extends from the trunk. Know that Alpina is confident enough in its aerodynamics to remove the speed limiter, allowing a claimed 186 mph top speed that we didn\'t have the facility to verify. From there our eyes are drawn to the tight gaps and an aerodynamically designed grille and headlights, integrated body matching bumpers and smooth framing for the windows allow this car to slip right through the air that gets in its way going forward. The iconic dual kidney bean grille is surrounded by some highlighting chrome and is fronting the way, otherwise the car is clean and free from embellishments with the exception of the hood and trunk emblems. A smoked glass sunroof is installed up high and the Jet Black finish is miles deep, showing only some stone chip peppering and a few light scratches.

Interior
Stitched charcoal black leather adorns the door panels, seats, and center console. This mixes with wood appliqu from somewhere within the black forest, and molded black vinyl. The seats show very well for the mileage, high back buckets with headrests also in charcoal black leather, and power adjustments that would make a NASA engineer envious. A nice original dash is upfront and houses all the essentials and is fronted by a tech savvy steering wheel with fingertip adjustments for phone and radio. Speaking of the radio, it is an AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth radio unit and also features factory installed navigation. A charcoal black headliner surrounds the sunroof, and all is tight and tear free. In back a bench seat stretches across and has the option to seat a 3rd party or lower the armrest for two to travel in ultimate comfort. Charcoal Black carpeting, presenting nearly new covers the floors and all is looking really good!

Drivetrain
Under the hood is the meat and potatoes of this German wonder, a supercharged 4.4 liter V8 power plant capable of making 500hp. This is fed by EFI and has the ZF 6-speed automatic transmissions on back. A 3.64 rear axle allows for a low gas using highway cruise. Everything is very clean under this hood.

Undercarriage
The Germans just love over engineering things and this undercarriage is no exception. Plenty of ground effect smoothing panels, and independent suspension is all around, and of course the OEM dual exhaust is on for the exhale. Power disc brakes are on all 4 corners with blingy red calipers and we note that things remain drip and leak free down below.

Drive-Ability
Looking like your average sedan but this car is anything but, this car handles like it\'s on rails. It smoked the test track, and I had to go around several times as I had so much fun, plus I thoroughly enjoyed all the bells, whistles and gizmos including the heated and cooled plus massaging front seats. The mighty V8 can easily break the tires loose when you get goosey with your boot and it also exhibited good solid braking, and tight steering and everything was working as it should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

A surprise performer, not because of the fact of it being a BMW with Alpina heritage, but because this is a driver\'s car. One to be enjoyed and be able to whisk your passengers to the country club with luxury and room to spare. It\'s no slouch when it comes to pure driving and certainly not underpowered with the V8. Nicely taken care of, it could be a great second car, and you can make it your daily driver or even your night on the town ride. You know, spend some time with the wife...well...maybe not!
