It also has four valves per cylinder with micro-finished camshafts and ductile iron cylinder liners for increased durability. Backing the motor is a Jatco five-speed automatic transmission (code RE4R05A).

By the 2010s, Nissan moved to a tiered system: SV (base trim), SL (middle trim) and Platinum (top trim). In 2013, Nissan added Bluetooth and satellite radio as standard on all models and a Platinum Reserve trim package as the newest top-tier trim. Navigation added NavWeather capability, Zagat Survey, Bluetooth audio streaming, one USB port and a 40-gigabyte disk drive. The Nissan DVD Entertainment System mounted screens in the back of the front seat head restraints. The 2014 model year updated the steering wheel while the 2015 model year updated interior door panels.
