This like-new 2006 Honda CRF 450X Motocross Motorcycle has 3 original miles and is in fresh out of the crate factory stock condition. Introduced in 2002 as the four-stroke successor to the two-stroke CR250R, the Honda CRF450R would soon dominate its motocross competition. The Honda CRF450X made its debut in 2005 as the enduro edition of the CRF450R motocross-focused machine. Sweeping changes to the CRF450R line in 2005 made their way into the new 450X model which takes trail –riding to a whole new level. It was designed to tame the toughest terrain with broader torque, wider gear ratios and enduro-spec suspension. The electric-start CRF450X was advertised as quite simply the ultimate open-class off-road machine. This 18-year old example is in like-new condition throughout with no visible signs of wear. It was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in June of 2024 and October of 2024 is the first time it's been listed for sale.

All of the plastic body components including the front headlight housing, front fender, fuel tank radiator shroud, side covers and rear fender are designed for slimmer, more aggressive styling and light weight. The fuel tank capacity is 2.27 gallons and it was an easy access air filter behind the side cover. The plastics were decorated with Race Team inspired graphics. The seat cushion uses foam construction that follows the shape of the fuel tank and is covered with a non-slip cover for increased rider control. The aluminum Renthal handlebar is rubber mounted and provides three different positions. It has a black Renthal handle bar pad, Works-type handlebar grips, adjustable front brake lever, quick adjust clutch perch, hot start lever conveniently located on the clutch perch, easy to read three digit trip meter and electric start system for easy starting in all conditions. The powerful 35-watt halogen headlight features new lens type for wide range of illumination and it has an integrated LED taillight in the rear fender. The fourth-generation twin-spar aluminum frame has a forged aluminum steering head and tapered downtube section is designed to optimize frame rigidity. In addition, tall swingarm pivot plates and narrow frame spars crate a narrow overall frame cross-section for superb rider comfort and maneuverability. The wide cleated stainless steel foot pegs are self-cleaning, resist corrosion, provide excellent grip and fold for extra ground clearance. It has a convenient side stand integrated into the left foot peg bracket which can be removed for competition events. The lightweight 47mm inverted Showa twin-chamber cartridge fork with aluminum dampers is derived from the CRF450R and features settings unique to the CRF450X. The forks offer 12.4 inches of travel, 16-position rebound and 16-position compression damping. The swing arm features a dual axis, double taper design with a large cast aluminum cross-member offering high strength and light weight. The Pro-Link rear single shock rear suspension system features a fully adjustable Showa rear damper and 12.4” of wheel travel., separate low-speed with 13 positions and high speed compression damping adjusters and 17 position rebound damping. The front wheel features a large diameter front axle and wide bearing span. It's wrapped with the original Dunlop Sport D742F 80/100/21 tire with 31st week of 2005 date code. The 18” rear wheel features a lightweight rear hub and HRC works-type lightweight aluminum spoke nipples as used on the CRF450R. It's wrapped with the original Dunlop Sport D756 110/100/18 tire with 31st week of 2005 date code. The rear subframe is removable for easy maintenance. The compact twin-piston front brake caliper, anodized aluminum brake pistons and lightweight front disc minimize unsprung weight for improved turning and handling. The front disc brake cover helps protect the rotor and caliper from damage. The HRC works-type rear brake system integrates the rear master cylinder and fluid reservoir. It has 240mm front and rear brake discs. The rear brake pedal and shift lever are made of lightweight aluminum and are designed to complement the riding position. The brake pedal features optimized ratio to match integrated rear brake master cylinder design. The T-ring sealed chain is stronger and lighter compared to conventional O-ring chains. The chain guide material offers durable wear resistance and service life is five times greater than conventional materials. Read more on www.msclassiccars.com
